The E3 visa is the correct short-stay study visa category for foreign nationals enrolled in eligible Mongolian language, history, culture, or vocational education and training institutions.
General requirements
- Official request letter from the inviting organization
- State registration certificate and special license when applicable
- Passport copy with at least 180 days validity before intended travel
- Proof of sufficient funds or tuition payment confirmation
- Medical examination results issued within the last 3 months
- Completed online application form and application fee receipt
Key timing and fees
- Visa duration: up to 90 days
- Standard processing: 5 working days
- Expedited processing: 3 working days when available
- Official visa fee: MNT 2,500 standard; MNT 5,000 expedited
- Visa permission validity: travel within 60 days after issuance
